On August 25, 2024, the inaugural meeting of the Shenzhen Digital Law Research Society was successfully held in Shenzhen. The event was attended by distinguished leaders and guests, including Hu Gengxiang, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of the Shenzhen Law Society; Zhang Zhongliang, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Cyberspace Administration; Zhang Yongzhong, Vice President of the Guangdong Law Society and Dean of the School of Law at South China Normal University; and Professor Wang Xiaoye, former Vice President of the Economic Law Research Society of the China Law Society.

The meeting featured six main agendas: Hu Gengxiang delivered a speech, Professor Ye Weiping, head of the preparatory group, reported on the preparation work, the establishment approval letter was read, the first plenary session was held, the plaque unveiling and appointment letter presentation took place, and a flag was presented to the temporary Party branch.

This event marked the official establishment of the Digital Law Research Society, aiming to promote research and development in the field of digital law.
