University of Wisconsin-Madison Visits SZU to Expand Joint International Programs

A delegation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, including Dean Dan Tokaji, Associate Dean Jason Smith, and Administrative Director Rebecca Scheller, visited Shenzhen University Law School on May 13, 2025. They were warmly received by SZU Law School Dean Xiong Wei, Associate Dean Chen Meng, and International Affairs Secretary Yin Lu. The two institutions held in-depth discussions on cultivating globally competent legal talent, optimizing existing joint programs, and exploring new collaboration opportunities.

Dean Xiong extended a heartfelt welcome to the delegation, emphasizing the partnership's significance in advancing international legal education. Associate Dean Chen provided a detailed update on current joint initiatives, including semester exchange programs and the LL.M. dual-degree program, highlighting streamlined application procedures, mutual credit recognition, and scholarship support.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Lihu Campus library, where both parties agreed to collaborate on digital teaching resource sharing and innovative joint education models.

This visit marks a new phase in the partnership between the two law schools. SZU Law School remains committed to expanding global collaborations to develop high-caliber legal professionals with international expertise, further contributing to the globalization of China's legal education.
