On December 6, 2025, the Second Greater Bay Area (University) Youth Legal Service Capacity Enhancement Seminar was successfully held at Shenzhen University. The seminar was guided by the Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and Shenzhen University, hosted by the School of Law of Shenzhen University, and organized by the Graduate Student Union of the School of Law and the Volunteer Legal Service Center of Shenzhen University ("Legal Pioneer" Legal Publicity Studio/Legal Clinic).
The opening ceremony featured addresses by Xiong Wei, Dean of the School of Law at Shenzhen University; Wang Li, Director of the Public Participation and Rule of Law Promotion Division of the Shenzhen Municipal Justice Bureau; and Xie Yongyi, Secretary of the Shenzhen Lawyers Industry Youth League Committee. The event included a handover ceremony for the hosting rights of the third seminar, with certificates presented to speakers and representatives from numerous universities in the Greater Bay Area. The keynote session, themed "Opportunities and Challenges in Cultivating Youth Legal Service Capabilities amid the Tech Wave," saw experts from universities, law firms, and enterprises delve into topics such as international legal education models, AI empowerment and cross-disciplinary competencies, breaking down barriers in cross-border legal services, and practical teaching methods that integrate knowledge with action. They thoroughly analyzed the career opportunities and core competitiveness building for young legal professionals in the new era. The afternoon parallel forums in sub-venue focused on three areas: "Cultivating Young Legal Talents," "Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Legal Industry," and "AI-Driven Legal Studies," facilitating in-depth discussions.
The successful seminar laid a solid foundation for enhancing collaborative legal practices among universities in the Greater Bay Area and fostering the growth of young legal talents. In the future, it will be hosted in rotation by law schools across the region, injecting new vitality into legal education, practice, and social services.
