On December 7, 2025, the 14th China WTO Mock Court Competition wrapped up officially. Co-hosted by China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Department of the Treaty and Law of the Ministry of Commerce, and the WTO Law Research Society , and organized by the School of International Law of SWUPL, the competition attracted 66 university teams from across the country. Conducted entirely in English, the contest comprised written memorial drafting and oral hearings, based on the DS611 case and governed by WTO–TRIPS rules. Teams went through multiple rounds including memorial review, online preliminary rounds, and offline elimination rounds.

The Shenzhen University team was coached by Associate Professor Wang Nan of SZU School of Law, supported by a student coach, a team captain, undergraduate members, and guidance from senior alumni. The team won the Third Prize for Complainant Memorial in the written stage and the Second Prize (team) in the oral hearing stage. This outstanding result fully demonstrates SZU students’ solid expertise in international law and their practical capacity in foreign-related rule-of-law affairs, and stands as an important achievement of the university’s talent cultivation in this field.
