From November 29 to December 2, 2025, the 23rd Lee & Li Cup National Moot Court Competition was held at Tsinghua University, hosted by Tsinghua Law School. The competition consisted of a memorial review stage and an oral pleading stage, with the case topic centering on liability for false statements in securities. Making its debut appearance, the SZU School of Law team advanced from the top 50 to the top 8 in the memorial round and proceeded to the oral rounds, winning the Best Memorial Award, the Best Organization Award, and the Outstanding Oralist Award.
The SZU team was coached by Associate Professor Wei Qizheng and composed of five undergraduate and master’s students. Systematic preparation began in March, with repeated refinement of memorials and multiple mock rounds. During the on-site competition, team members responded calmly and demonstrated solid legal grounding and strong teamwork. That a first-time participant should win multiple major awards fully reflects the School’s practice-oriented education outcomes and the students’ excellent legal reasoning and advocacy skills.
