From February 25 to 28, 2026, the 24th China National Round of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition was held at CUPL’s Haidian Campus, attracting 68 universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University. The Shenzhen University team stood out with excellent performance and won the National Third Prize, marking another milestone.

Coached by Assistant Professor Mei Di of SZU School of Law, the team consisted of four oralists and two researchers, with guidance from Jessup alumni and former team members during preparation. Training began in July 2025, progressing through summer workshops, legal research, and memorial drafting, producing two nearly 10,000-word English memorials, before shifting to oral advocacy training in January 2026. During the national rounds, team members responded calmly to judges’ questioning and impressed the panel—including UN officials—with their solid legal foundation and quick thinking, demonstrating SZU students’ legal literacy and teamwork.
