From April 10 to 12, 2026, the China National Oral Rounds of the ICC Chinese Moot Court Competition were held at Central South University. As the world’s only top-tier ICC moot conducted in Chinese, the competition attracted 130 university teams nationwide, with only 60 advancing to the on-site rounds.
The SZU team was coached by Lecturer Duan Luyi, with three student coaches and five undergraduates. Formed in May 2025, the team went through summer training and six months of memorial drafting, producing 60,000 characters of written submissions and qualifying for oral rounds ranked 18th nationally. High-intensity training followed before the team headed to Changsha. In the oral rounds, members faced strong opponents with composure and ultimately won the National Second Prize, ranking 5th overall by team score and 17th by total score. The achievement fully reflects students’ professionalism and teamwork, made possible by the coach’s guidance and support from senior alumni.
