On May 19, 2026, the inaugural GBA Frontier Technology Governance and Foreign-Related Rule of Law Salon was held at Shenzhen University, hosted by SZU School of Law. Focusing on the development and governance challenges of AI agents, the salon explored issues including technical safety and legal regulation, with nearly 80 scholars, practitioners, and industry representatives in attendance.

During the event, multiple experts, scholars, and industry practitioners delivered keynote shares, analyzing existing problems of AI agents and proposing governance approaches from the perspectives of technical safety, legal characterization, liability allocation, ethical risks, and compliance red lines. A subsequent roundtable delved into responsibility distribution, compliance systems, and cross-border risks, with active Q&A from participants. The salon built a platform bridging theory and practice to facilitate the integrated development of law and technology. The School of Law will continue hosting related events to contribute to the digital economy.
