On June 16, 2026, the “Low-Carbon Day Eco-Rule-of-Law Public Lecture” was held at SZU’s Lihu Campus. Centered on dual-carbon development, carbon trading, and the Ecological and Environmental Code of the People’s Republic of China, the event featured lectures by experts and faculty from government, enterprise, and academia.

The event comprised opening remarks and two thematic sessions. Deputy Director Liu Chang of the Shenzhen Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau interpreted the dual-carbon strategy and the Ecological and Environmental Code system, introducing achievements of the Shenzhen carbon market. Deputy Party Secretary Lin Jilin of the School highlighted the importance of eco-rule-of-law construction with global ecological disaster cases and affirmed the School’s students’ performance in eco-law competitions. Liu Jun from the Shenzhen Green Exchange explained carbon market mechanisms and the legal nature of carbon emission rights; Assistant Professor Zhang Yedong systematically interpreted low-carbon provisions of the Code with practical case analysis. As a government–university–enterprise collaborative education initiative, the event promoted a tripartite platform for cultivating green and low-carbon rule-of-law talent in the Greater Bay Area.
