SZU School of Law has a faculty with a wide range of academic backgrounds and rich experience in theory and practice. There are now 97 staff members on board and 72 full-time teachers, including 25 professors (including 6 full-time special professors) and 27 associate professors. There are 9 doctoral supervisors and 64 master's supervisors. 94.4% of the faculty members have doctoral degrees, and 40% have overseas study or visiting background. The school has produced 2 National Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists, 2 Guangdong Top Ten Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Jurists, 1 Young Changjiang Scholar, 1 Excellent Talent of the New Century from the Ministry of Education, 1 National Leading Talent of Intellectual Property Rights, 4 VicePresidents of various research associations of the China Law Society, and more than 40 experts and scholars serving as advisors to the Party and government organs at all levels, the National People's Congress, the Court, the Procuratorate and other units.
According to the arrangement of the “14th Five-Year Plan” of the Law School, various programs are being promoted steadily and progressively, which include the “Young Academic Leaders Cultivation Program”, “Leading Foreign Legal Talents Cultivation Program” and “Classroom Teaching Ability Enhancement Program”.
