The first seminar on the construction of the Shenzhen University Volunteer Legal Service Center was held in conference room 417 of the Minglv Building on April 28. The meeting was attended by Li Yan, Executive Director of the WIDER Center in Futian, Chen Yeling, Deputy Director of the Juvenile Protection Center of Futian, Ma Wenze, Party Secretary of the Law School, Lin Jilin, Deputy Party Secretary, Wang Juqiang, Graduate Advisor, Li Chijie, Undergraduate Advisor, and four student representatives. The seminar was chaired by Lin.
At the beginning of the meeting, Lin Jilin introduced the attendees and briefly outlined the three functional service areas of the Shenzhen University Volunteer Legal Service Center: the Legal Awareness Group, the Student Dispute Mediation Office, and the Legal Consultation Volunteer Service Center. He provided an overview of their basic structure and proposed operations.
Ma then briefed the attendees on the current development status of the Shenzhen University Volunteer Legal Service Center. He mentioned that the project has received encouragement and support from both internal and external relevant departments and has promising development prospects.
Li Yan introduced the development status of the WIDER Center in Futian and offered valuable suggestions for the construction of the various functional areas of the Shenzhen University Volunteer Legal Service Center.
Chen also introduced the current work of the Juvenile Protection Center of Futian and emphasized that mediators need to receive comprehensive training. She pointed out that mediators should consider multiple aspects, including legal, emotional, rational, and beneficial factors.
During the meeting, other faculty and student representatives actively introduced the related work already undertaken and engaged in discussions with the attending guests. After the group photo, the first seminar on the construction of the Shenzhen University Volunteer Legal Service Center concluded successfully.
