The "2025 International Symposium on Forensic Science Development" was successfully held on September 20, 2025 in Room C101 of Qiming Building at Shenzhen University's Lihu Campus.

The symposium was jointly hosted by Shenzhen University and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, organized by Shenzhen University's Medical School, Zhongnan University's School of Criminal Justice, its Innovation Base for Judicial Identification Technology Application and Social Governance, and Shenzhen University's School of Law, and co-organized by Ihongde.com and Guangdong Yunxince Technology Co., Ltd. It facilitated in-depth exchanges under the theme "Forensic Science: Digital Intelligence-Driven Development and Risk Governance."

Nearly 100 participants attended from domestic and international research institutions (e.g., Chinese Academy of Engineering, Supreme People's Procuratorate's Theory Research Institute, University of Maryland, Korean National Police University, Sapienza University of Rome), industry associations, enterprises, and practical fields. At the event, Xiong Wei, Distinguished Professor and Dean of Shenzhen University School of Law, represented the school in signing and unveiling ceremonies for a sub-base of the Innovation Base for Judicial Identification Technology Application and Social Governance. Subsequently, the School of Law will collaborate with the Medical School and other units to promote innovation and practical application of forensic science at Shenzhen University, contributing to the cultivation of forensic science talent and the advancement of judicial identification technology.
