On September 27, 2025, the 2025 Annual Conference of the Guangdong Law Society Fiscal and Tax Law Research Committee was held at Shenzhen University's Lihu Campus. Hosted by the research committee and organized by Shenzhen University School of Law, the event gathered over 100 experts and practitioners from domestic and international universities (e.g., Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese University of Hong Kong, London School of Economics), tax authorities (including Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau), and law firms (such as King & Wood Mallesons Shanghai Office) to discuss "Cutting-edge Issues in the Revision of the Tax Collection and Administration Law."

The conference featured five segments: opening ceremony, council member addition, keynote speeches, thematic panel reports, and closing ceremony. At the opening, Jiang Bin, Li Wei, Zhang Fuqiang, and others delivered remarks, while Dean Xiong Wei of Shenzhen University School of Law presented the 2025 work report on behalf of the research committee. The council addition session, chaired by Lin Wei, saw seven individuals including Pan Ning added as council members of the fifth committee.
